When we built our home in 2019 one of our non-negotiables was a composite deck. Now it seems as though the options for composite decking are endless. We landed on the industry’s first composite decking company, Trex!
Sustainable and eco friendly
One of the things that drew me to Trex specifically was how green of a company they are. Trex is one of the largest recyclers in the U.S! They use more than 1.5 BILLION plastic bags each year to make their outdoor living products. The manufacturing process is just as eco friendly as the final products. They use a proprietary method that even recycles the refuse back into the manufacturing line! Recycling the recycle! So cool!
Durable & ultra low maintenance
Trex composite decking is super durable and resists fading, scratching and mold! It will never rot, warp or crack. Even though composite decking is not wood you don’t have to sacrifice the wood look! Each collection of Trex decking has authentic wood-grain patterns, multiple colors to choose from and is still comfortable underfoot! We went with the Transcend line in the color gravel path as well as black railings and balusters!
Trex products are practically maintenance free. There is no sanding, staining, sealing or replacing! All it needs is a quick pressure wash or soap and water cleaning to keep it looking new. Now we will have more time to enjoy being outside using our deck than maintaining it! The 25-year Limited Warranty against material defects and the Limited Fade & Stain Warranty, guarantees peace of mind!
We could not be happier with our choice of Trex composite decking. Knowing we made a sustainable, eco friendly & long lasting product choice makes me feel really good! We’ve enjoyed our Trex deck for almost 3 years now and would recommend it to anyone. We can’t wait to enjoy it with family and friends for many more years to come! Checkout the Trex website to see all the possibilities, as well as their new DIY option! 🤩
